The large guest room, the"Oda", has been restored to its original appearance with traditionally carved wooden elements. It is fit for a pasha, with a large double bed, dining room table and extra beds in reserve to accommodate families or travel companions. Staying here gives visitors a chance to appreciate what living in Gjirokaster might have been like in the late 18th century. The first floor of the house is fortified with narrow windows, bolted doors, and a well for drinking water which would have given this family the ability to withstand a small siege in relative security. Beginning in September the family gathers the grapes to make wine and raki, so if you are in Gjirokaster then, it's a particularly wonderful time for a stay. The bathroom is large, clean, and well maintained with 24 hour hot water. A simple, delicious breakfast is available upon request, as are other meals.

The Hashorva Bed and Breakfast is a traditional family run guesthouse located in a garden setting, in the Lagjia Varosh, the old Christian Quarter of Gjirokaster. The house is located 5 to 15 minutes walk down the hill from the Post Office, the Old Pazar, the historic mosque, and the Castle.
