The Tree House Hostel

The hostel is located on an old olive farm 30 min from the city centre - far enough out of town to wake up to the sounds of birds but close enough to immerse in all that the area has to offer.

The converted main house offers spacious rooms, high ceilings, excellent kitchen and dining facilities as it was formally a gourmet restaurant. We love it when you wine and dine yourselves with the fine plates and cutlery on white table clothes left from the finer restaurant days. You'll love it too!

Venture outside and you will find a 10m x 5m pool surrounded by 70 year old olive trees where you can spread out a towel and enjoy the sun or shade. Note: The pool is open for the Summer Season only which is from Nov 28th til the end of March. The pool is open now and is beautiful!

If you are looking to really get away from it all explore the more secluded parts of the property and you are guaranteed to find a relaxing space all of your own. Our staff are helpful, speak both Spanish and English and many other languages and have an intimate knowledge of the local activities and attractions both on the tourist circuit and not.

The center of San Rafael has a distinctive small city feel with bars and restaurants spilling out onto the streets in the late afternoon. The city resembles a small forest with every street lined with mature trees and well kept plazas littering the town. Within 30 min of the center are two large valleys, each with a hydroelectric dam. The famous Valle Grande offers rafting, kayaking, catamaran tours, walking, tirolesa and a string of beautiful spots to stop for a drink or barbecue. Lots to do!
