In Ypres you will experience the rich medieval history with among others its famous cloth hall, its belfry, its Vauban ramparts, its cathedral, ... and many many more. While visiting one of the many war cemetaries you will discover one of the darkest periods in the history of the Western world. Together with the Menin Gate and the Last Post, these cemetaries form the most gripping testimonies of World War I. But there is more! Cyclists will certainly find something to their taste in the extensive cycle network Ypres and surroundings offers. Every cycling fan knows the Kemmelberg in the Flemish Hills. After kicking the pedals for only 20 minutes you can climb its steep flanks. And when a busy day comes to its end there is time to relax and enjoy a drink or meal in one of the many bars and retaurants of our town. You will cherish your visit to Ypres for a long time.
