How to get in: If you are arriving from the Caribbean coast (Cartagena, Barranquilla and Santa Marta) and you cannot secure a seat on the Unitransco direct bus to Mompos, then catch the Brasilia or Unitransco to Magangue. In Maguangue you can easily find space on any chalupa (motorised canoe) to Bodega and then a taxi to Mompos. From Medellin catch any bus to Magangue and then make the connections From Bogota, San Gil and Bucaramanga catch the Copetrans service to El Banco Magdalena and then a 4x4 from there.
