From La Fortuna � drive up towards the volcano from the center of town going in the direction of Tilar�n. drive about 15 minutes or so until you pass the Tabacon Springs Resort. Continue 2 kilometers to the small police post on your right. (little white building) You will see lots of signs to the butterfly conservatory among other signs..AS YOU Turn left onto the gravel road IN FRONT OF THE POLICE POST....just follow the signs as if you were going to the butterfly conservatory until you come about 10 kilometers farther over the bridge into El Castillo ..there are several little bridges that you will pass along the way...but the last one brings you into El Castillo.... you will see a huge sign on the right that says Arenal Eco Zoo 500 meters...and a Big Butterfly conservatory sigh on the corner to your left...you will turn left at this intersection towards both the ecozoo and butterfly conservatory....as you turn left and start up the hill we are two buildings past the little restaurant on the corner called soda de mesa de mama.
