By Bus: Take a bus from San Jose to Cariari (Caribeños Bus Stop) at Barrio Turnon. Bus leaves every day at 9am for Cariari.In public transportation please keep allways your backpack in front of you In Cariari take the bus to La Pavona Port at 11.30 am. After 45 min ride , You will be taking the boat to Tortuguero. By Car: Take the Braulio Carrillo highway to Guapiles, leave the highway in Guapiles and turn left to Cariari. After Cariari look for la Pavona Port were you will find a parking lot where you can leave your car and take the boat to Tortuguero.
