How to get to the Centre from the airport
There are several possibilities:
1.TAXI. Foreigners are very affraid of czech taxi drivers, which are really difficult sometimes. To tell the truth, the situation now is much better and specially the airport taxis are very safe. There are a lot of them there and also for bigger groups.
Prices depend on traffic, number of persons - in bigger cars, but generally it is about 600,-czk.
Some of them are able to accept credits cards.
If you are not sure of czech pronountiation, put the address on a paper and show it to the driver.
2.There is an airport shuttle called CEDAZ going dirrectly to the centre to the street V Celnici, stops near the main office of Czech Airlines.Costs about 120,-czk per person.
Next to this place is a metro stop NAMESTI REPUBLIKY.
You can buy there in an automatic machine a ticket and find a public map which will help you with the orientation to your dirrection.
3.The cheapest is public transport. You have to buy a ticket for 26,-czk, look, the prices of tickets could be higher etc.but you need a transfer ticket. There are also tickets for hugh luggages, all instructions are written in foreign languages on the tiket machine.
Look for the bus 119, dont forget to stamp the ticket in the machine in the bus, and go to the last stop DEJVICKA, it is also a name of the metro stop nearby you need.Than again look for the public map and find your nearest stop to the flat.Never stamp the ticket twice!!!!!!!!!
PEOPLE, BE REASONABLE AND PAY IN PUBLIC TRANSPORT!!!!!The inspectors are unpleasant, the taxes are high, they dont speak any language so, it is unusefull problem.
Your nearest metro stop is NARODNI TRIDA.Turn to the left to pass the department store TESCO, cross the street and go still straight along the road.Your flat is in a house no 17, on the corner on the left, there us a tobacco shop TRAFIKA.
In Prague it is necessary to pay attention on pickpockets and it is better to have only a copy of the passport with you, the original one you can leave in the ap.
But generally Prague is not a wild and very dangerous city.
