Directions to Bird Watcher´s House

From Quito, catch the Flor de Valle bus from Ofelia bus terminal. At the time of writing, buses leave at 8:30am and 3:30pm everyday. Alternatively, you can catch a bus to Los Bancos that leave every hour from the Carcelen station. In both cases, ask to be let off at the entrance to town, 'La entrada de Mindo'. You can alsontake a taxi from the terminal for approximately $35, or else Vinicio can handle all the transport arrangements for you. Quito to Mindo takes around two hours. The Birdwatcher´s House is 6km from the entrance to Mindo. Take a taxi and ask to go to Birdwatcher's House, Vincio Perez's hotel, near Santa Rosa. It should cost about 6 USD.
