La Matte

Domaine De La Matte - A gentle stroll between the villages of Conques-Sur-Obriel with its traditional village stores and Winery and Villegly with its windmill, chautaux and fountains. Surrounded by vineyards and wineries. We also have the National Forest with its unique wildlife, rivers and lakes.


Ground floor: Two double bedrooms with double beds sitting/dining room, log fire and music system, TV SKY etc

Kitchen: Fully equipped with washing machine, fridge freezer, gas hob, kettle, toaster, combination oven, breakfast bar.

Shower room: with sink WC and shower.

First floor: Views to front and rear over the countryside.

Outside: Patio with table and chairs. Separate BBQ area with seating. Tree shaded picnic area. We have numerous pets including an emu and goats: an added attraction for children.

Conques Sur Obiel - with its open air swimming pool, tennis courts, traditional bakery, local stores and restaurant. The wine Cooperative is open daily.

Villegly - Everything you would expect of a French village. A tree lined avenue, winding streets, open plazza each with its own unique fountain all over looked by the beautiful Chateaux whose ground you can walk around before visiting the winery or windmill.

Carcassonne Cite - A must for all visitors. This 2,000 year old World Heritage Site boasts 52 towers and two miles of ramparts. The lanes and alleyways hold many secrets with unique shops, French cafes and restaurants.

Canal du Midi - also a World Heritage Site - featured in Rick Stien French Odyssey. The tree lined picturesque waterway is perfect for walking, cycling, boating or simply sitting and watching the boats navigate the numerous locks with a picnic of local produce and wine.

Lastours - Renouned for its giant caves and the four Ch?aux built on 300m rocks, set in some of Frances most spectacular pristine countryside.

Trebes - Beautiful canal basin, with bars and restaurants. Perfect place to watch the world sail by.
