Maison de Laura

Maison de Laura is a traditional long farmhouse with swimming pool and good sized garden. The bedroom has a double bed, tea and coffee facilities and a small fridge. The private bathroom has a roll top bath and hand held shower. Towels and linen supplied.

Maison de Laura farmhouse was built in 1876 and has been sympathetically restored over the past 10 years by the present owners. In the village there is a local shop selling most items including fresh bread and croissants.. The post office is open twice a week and there is a wine co-operative.

The B&B has a stylish room with a lovely antique bed and a well equiped private bathroom.


Breakfast is not included in the room price but is available on request at 5 euros per person

Maison de Laura is situated in a valley 20 minutes north of Carcassonne in the foothills of Montagne Noire, within walking distance of the Cathar castles of Lastours. The historic walled city of Carcassonne is 30 minutes drive away and 15 minutes to the canal du Midi where you can take a boat trip or simply walk along the canal banks.In Carcassonne on a Saturday there is a market selling local produce and often live music playing which all adds to the atmosphere. It is ideal for walking holidays as we are in the heart of the countryside but you really need your own transport to really enjoy the area.
