We welcome you to our traditional
Charantaise farmhouse Bed and Breakfast, Gite du Calme, set in a tranquil 2 acre garden surrounded by forest and vineyards near Cognac SW France.
Gite du Calme has spacious en-suite double bedrooms and a large family suite suitable for two adults and two children. Cots, highchair and baby equipment are available.
All the rooms are decorated in a mix of old French and modern furniture.
Our guests are free to use the kitchen and relax in our living room with TV DVD Wi-Fi internet, PC, board games, books and information booklets about the region.
Located between vine yards and forests you are free to wander around and relax in the beautiful garden.
Breakfast is included and other meals are also available on request.
Saintes is 12km from our B&B and is a beautiful Roman town with still much of the Roman architecture intact for visitors to enjoy. There is a magnificent amphitheatre where they hold many events and concerts and two Abbey's. On both sides of the Charente River you will find many shops, bars and restaurants and on the first Monday of every month they close the main part of town to cars and hold a huge all day market.
