Sitting at the end of a winding lane in the Perigord-Limousin National Park, La Ferme du Lac is a charming, family-run guesthouse set in a beautiful 17th-century farmhouse.
Located approximately 40 minutes from Limoges Airport, we are ideally situated for tourists exploring the area or house hunters looking to buy.
Just 2 miles from Marval, our property consists of 22 acres of beautiful valley with a 7-acre lake at the heart. We are the perfect spot for nature lovers, who can see otters, deer, boar and civet cat as well as 120 species of bird.
The lake is home to carp, coarse and game fish, and we have a trout river running through our land (fishing prices available on request).
There are a number of beautiful villages and towns in the area with regular markets, good restaurants, and a full range of activities and interests.
Our accommodation comprises a range of recently refurbished rooms and self-catering cottages, with linen and towels provided. We also have a small number of camping pitches.
We offer excellent facilities including a well-established restaurant, a friendly bar and a swimming pool.
Breakfast is available, with a choice of either a full English (€9.50, €5 for children under 7) or continental (€6, €3 for children under 7). Only continental is available during July and August.
We offer a laundry service and can provide cots and high chairs upon request.
Airport transfers are available.
We are a non-smoking property.
Children and pets are welcome.
We require a 10% deposit to secure the booking; the remainder is payable in Euros (€) on arrival.
In the case of cancellation, we claim the right to retain the deposit unless the room(s) can be re-let. In this case any expense incurred in re-letting the room(s) will be deducted from the refundable amount. The full amount is payable for no shows.
Bookings of 1 night will be charged a supplement of €7.50 per room, and extra beds can be provided at a cost of €5 per bed.
La Ferme du Lac is situated 45 minutes drive from 3 major cities, Limoges in the Haute Vienne, Angouleme in the Charente and Perigueux in the Dordogne. Piegut-Pluviers, famous for it's Wednesday morning market, is 15 minutes drive away.
