Every November, the sleepy little town comes alive with a riot of colour and a burst of activity at the Pushkar Fair (Pushkar ka Mela), a 5-day camel and livestock fair. Tourists come to experience the energy of this unique event while sadhus and pilgrims come to honor the holy land - the city of Lord Brahma.
