Situated in the heart of Varanasi mere 12.9 miles (1 hour) from the city airport and 1.375 miles from the Varanasi railway station. Ghats are 1.24 miles and City Center (Godowlia) is 0.93 miles from my house. Homestay is ideally placed for any one looking to explore Varanasi or as a stopover on a business trip. We promise you an enjoyable and comfortable stay, either overnight or for a longer term. Having served visiting foreign tourist for 30 years as a Silk and Pashmina manufacturer, I decided to add this new venture.
My shop PARASLAKSHMI EXPORTS,has been highly recommended from a long time by many European Travel Guides Books, including Le Guide du Routard in French, La Guia del Trotamundos in Spainish,Le Guide Routard in Italian, Globetrotter in Dutch and German, Travel guide book of Stephane Lossen in German and Rough Guide ,in English.
India has had great tradition of hospitality, having Mantra "Atithi Devo Bhav" meaning guest is like God at your premise. My life partner Malika, is an excellent cook.I and Malika shall try our best to live up to this great tradition of India.
Malika and I have two lovely children, Heena, our daughter ,and Girish our son.
Our house has lot of open area,and,a beautiful Garden on the front.We are starting with 2 rooms for the guests, our rooms are quite special ,with one being 11'x35',and another room being 10'x25' with attached western style WC. Both the rooms are air conditioned and are planned so, that there is enough fresh air and Sunlight. We have 24 hours running water.
Rooms are designed very tastefully using Teakwood ,Hand Carving work of Indian origin. Doors ,Windows and Wardrobes used in the rooms are antique wood ,owned by family since 70 years or more . Being a designer ,and, having a Export business of Silk textiles whole my life, I am offering my own designed Curtains, Cushions and Bed Covers of Silk or Cotton, depending on the season.
