With a stunning setting in the recently restored wing of a 16th century castle, The Castle Country House is a Failte Ireland approved B&B with a 5 diamond rating from the AA and the RAC. Recommended by numerous travel guides, we offer cosy accommodation, great food and a warm welcome.
Bordered to the south by the lush pastures of Blackwater Valley and to the north by the rugged beauty of the Nire Valley, all our guest rooms enjoy magnificent views. Spacious and individually decorated with period furniture, each room is well equipped with an en-suite bathroom, television, hairdryer and tea/coffee-making facilities. Broadband internet access is available for our guests.
As the most important meal of the day, special attention is paid to breakfast here at The Castle Country House, which comprises a selection of local and homegrown continental items along with a varied menu of cooked options. Choose from delicious treats such as oak-smoked Irish salmon, baked Cappoquin ham with poached eggs, pancakes with maple syrup or a traditional full Irish breakfast.
After a hearty breakfast, guests will be ready to take advantage of the numerous activities in the area, including, horse riding, fishing, golf, walking, watersports and more.
