It takes 10 minutes to walk to Città Alta (the 'Upper City'). On the way up you can stop at a park with panoramic views of the mountains (Parco Sant'Agostino) or walk around the fortified walls offering spectacular views of the city below. The nearby square (Piazza Delfino) features a pizzeria, a corner shop, two cafés, a new pizza takeaway and a general food store. Numerous shops, a supermarket and a renowned ice-cream parlour can be found at the bottom of Via San Tomaso.
