Cristina (Sicilian) and Rob (English) welcome you to the '5 Balconi Bed & Breakfast', a sunny palazzo built in the 1800's, with lots of colour, character and charm.
We are situated in the historic heart of Catania, right above the 13th century Ursino Castle, which dominates the piazza and gardens of Federico di Svevia. Here you can wine and dine 'al fresco' on delicious typical dishes at very reasonable prices, while soaking up the atmosphere of a real Sicilian quarter.
Our luxurious guestrooms boast high, domed ceilings, elegant chandeliers and marble balconies festooned with flowers.
Singles, doubles and twins are available, and we can also arrange a family suite for up to 5 people. Air conditioning, TV and WiFi are standard in all rooms, and tea/coffee-making facilities, a fridge and a DVD/video player are also available for guests' use.
Our nutritious breakfasts can be enjoyed in your room or in our dining area with our other guests. The breakfast menu includes fresh fruit, cereal, traditional Sicilian pastries, homemade bread with organic marmalade, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
We are only 10 minutes from the airport and a 15-minute walk from a long beach of golden sand. We are ideal as a base for exploring eastern Sicily, and Taormina, Etna, Enna, Pantalica and Siracusa are all within a 45-minute drive.
