The Hotel-Recidence 'Casprini-Da-Omero' is located in Florentine-Chiantishire in a little village named Passo-Dei-Pecorai (Pass of the shepherds). Originally used since the Etruscans, to move the sheep herds from the summer to the Winter pastures.
The hotel-residence has rooms and apartments to offer to the guests the best solution for singles, couples and families. Together to the hotel there is an extremely old-Tuscan restaurant which dates back to 1913. Here our family prepare the traditional recipes of the Florentine kitchen. The restaurant is closed on wednesday.
Breakfast is not included as you can decide day bay day to get it or not. Saving money is not such a bad thing!;) All jams are home made, so once, get it anyway;)!!!
Apartments and rooms have TV, telephone, independent entrance, dining room and kitchen. In summer time, temperature is fine enough as we do not need air condition.
At your disposal there is a huge private garden and park. There is also a very good collecttion of Chianti classico which dates back to 1911 - a place where you can taste the real history of a wine. In the surroundings, there are wine and olive fields and through them, real the best walking paths of all Chianti area. From here you can book even 'quad' excursions.
Passo-Dei-Pecorai (Pass of the shepherds), which is 7 km far from 'Greve-in-chianti' and 22 from Florence downtown, in the 'Greve' River valley, between both cityes. In fact from the hotel building is a geographic location (one of the oldest in Italy), from here you can reach all the turistic areas and cityes in max 1-1.30 hrs by car even seaside or mountains. In front of hotel-residence there is the bus stop which connect very well on working days Florence down town and the historical centre. Leave the car here at the free parking place and take but to the city easy. You cannot visit chianti shire without a car. Keep this in mind. In any place you go, you need a way to move: car, scooter (this is rentable in Greve. cheap and nice). Golf field is 12 km far (Ugolino).
