Still owned by his descendant, the house has been restored carefully in order to maintain the original atmosphere although all modern comforts have been added.
The walls are decorated by big pictures which represent Florence as it used to be, and these are part of the works of the artist; statues and other precious objects enrich the atmosphere, completely provided with antique furniture.
Two bronze dragons guard the house from the roof...in a few words you can breath a very unique atmosphere, and our guests can have a very pleasant and relaxing stay because of the house position: it lies at the foot of the hills of Fiesole, a few minutes away from the centre of Florence.
B&B Casa Schlatter has three rooms, each one of them has different and unique characteristics. The furniture is studied to increase the beauty of each part of the house. Each one of the room has been named after facts related to the story of the house.
Room «Carlo Adolfo» is the biggest one, with an intermediate floor and can accommodate four people (a double bed + two single beds) and faces the splendid inside garden.
Room «Emma» has a double bed (which can be turned in two single beds). It has a private access to the garden and very feminine connotation in its furniture.
Room «Gardener» has a French style bed. It is smaller but also more intimate: it has very refined and valuable furniture, with a bath that will amaze you.
