Il Poggiolo bed & breakfast is ideally located in the heart of Florence's stunning countryside, surrounded by 20 acres of olive groves- Il Poggiolo enjoys a magnificent view on the Florentine hills and surrounding Tuscan countryside. The B&B is located 15km from the city centre and the Santa Maria Novella train station. Florence Amerigo airport is also 6km from the B&B.
Here at Il Poggiolo guests can enjoy a relaxing break in a homely environment. The B&B features traditional style decor throughout the villa- with authentic XIXth century Tuscan style furniture and fireplaces adding to the property's unique charm. Guests will be accommodated in a comfortable ensuite double room, equipped with a range of amenities to ensure all guest needs are met during their stay. In room facilities include a television, WiFi internet access as well as tea & coffee making facilities. Guests can also enjoy complimentary car parking here at Il Poggiolo.
Breakfast is included in the rates and is freshly prepared daily using the finest local produce. The family produce organic fruits and vegetables and a special organic tuscan olive oil, which are also available for purchase here at the B&B.
English and French are spoken.
From Il Poggiolo guests can walk to the little church of St. Andrea in Cercina and the castle of Castiglioni. Other attractions located nearby include many elegant and typical tuscan restaurants with views of Florence.
The owners have three sweet and quiet Collie dogs, four horses and two cats. Therefore it's really a pleasure for them to accommodate guest pets upon request.
