Book an apartment at the Castle of Selvole means save money and be assured of a complete apartment in one of the most beautiful places in Tuscany!
Selvole property is 12 Kms from Siena centre.The apartments of Selvole are about 200 metres from the magnificent winery and cellar , where the reception, wine shop and wine cellar are situated. The 'tourist village' consists of 3 old big farmhouses that have been converted into 19 apartments for singles, couples or families with children .
The reception is by the bar, so you can request a cappuccino or a simple breakfast. You can enjoy an aperitivo at the bar, (where there is free WIFI) and order your meals in advance so the cook can prepare some typical Tuscan dishes for you. Bed linens and towels are provided and are changed regularly for stays longer than one week.
From May to October, guests can relax by the swimming pool which is located at the centre of the complex, or sit outside in the garden and enjoy the natural peace of the surrounding. Guided wine tours will be scheduled for free on demand. We can organise a wine tasting with dinner at our restaurant if you book in advance. If you have your own car you will have the advantage not only to go to Siena (20 minutes away) or to explore the various Chianti Classico wine growing area . We can provide a limited transfer service with a small car (therefore a maximum of four persons with not too much luggage) . We cannot guarantee the service, however, unless you contact us AT LEAST two days before, and the transfer will mainly be between Selvole and the Siena railway station during office working hours. The price will be 5 euro per person per trip.
The property is located between Vagliagli and Pievasciata.(about a km away from the Sculpture Park). If you are arriving by train , the easiest way would be to take a taxi to us (about 15 mins drive from the train station. Tell the driver 'Selvole, near Vagliagli and Pievasciata' and he will know where we are. We can provide a limited pickup service with a small car for up to a maximum of 4 persons with not much luggage provided you book AT LEAST TWO DAYS IN ADVANCE BY PHONE OR E-MAIL. The free service is only for arrivals and departures to and from the Siena railway station and cannot be guaranteed unless confirmed way in advance and done only during office hours. Every other transfer has to be requested and if it can be arranged will be at a minimal fee of euro 4 per person per trip.
