We had an absolutely great time in Venice when we celebrated the new year. The host was very accommodating and offered a number of day trips/planned days out for our short stay there. The hostel is very central and in a quiet side-street. The bed was also very comfortable. We would go back and have already recommended it to other friends. Really great experience and good value.
