Villa Rosa is located in the old town of Zafferana Etnea (Sicily). This quiet, picturesque village set on the slopes of Mt. Etna overlooks the Ionian coast offering a beautiful panorama from the famous resort of Taormina all the way down to the Calabrian coast.

The summit of this spectacular, active volcano can be viewed from Villa Rosa.
The beautiful Ionic Coast can be most appreciated from the rocky heights of Taormina a world famous tourist resort with tiny narrow streets and fabulous designer shops, or from the higher view point of Castelmola; its spectacular panorama where you can sample almond wine.
Nature lovers will enjoy the surrounding area of Taormina which offers the fantastic unspoilt landscape of the Alcantara Gorges.
Further north and off the Sicilian mainland lie the Aeolian Archipelago.
Sailing trips to these islands can be arranged privately from the Etna Port of Riposto. In the southern corner of Sicily lies the ancient town of Syracuse remain visible through its ruins depicting the mythological culture of the Mediterranean.
From Villa Rosa day trips can be arranged to other interesting destinations such as Catania with its beautiful baroque buildings, the Roman Villa at Piazza Armerina or Caltagirone famous for its ceramics.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy mountain biking and horse riding around the Etna slopes.
