Ecotourism in Jamaica means to start to support the economy of the country in a innovative way, to promote an intelligent consumerism and therefore an aware tourism, favoring the economy of the small local communities instead of the great hotel chains and the rediscovery of the natural and wild environment (flora and fauna) as a predominant aspect of the island.
Promote a style of life with a full respect of the environment favoring an exchange and an understanding of the multicultures, which passes through the food culture of the people, using local and seasonal foods, also reaching the match that can be created when two different cultures meet and they influenced eachother, also in the culinary aspect, when the Italian cuisine meets Jamaican cuisine and vice versa.
All of this can be translated in different and manifold activities
Breakfast is not included in the on-line room rate and can be arranged upon arrival at 5 extra Usd pppn
Blue Heaven is located in Lon Bay, Portland, 30 min by car from Portantonio, and is very easy to get taxi charter or public bus straight in front at the guets house.
There are two international airports in Jamaica, Montego Bay and Kingston. Flights into Montego Bay are generally cheaper, but Kingston is closer to Blue Heaven.
We can prearrange a pickup at either airport. Please let us know if you want a pickup at least one week before your trip.
