I would not recommend this guesthouse to anyone, for we had a terrible stay even just for one day. I read beforehand that the owner has more than 10 years of backpacking experience, and it amazed me that how possible that he doesn't know what are the basic requirement for any backpackers? A clean room, proper toilet, and WIFI!!! On top of that, they simply have too many rules that make you felt that you are in school hostel...ridiculously, they even switched off the WIFI after 11pm (are we kids or something?) Imagine a foreign traveler came to Penang late in the night and he or she checked in to the place after 11pm and would like to send an email to family, NO.. you can't, use it tomorrow... (while the staff still using the WIFI on his phone...). AND..the pillows are smelly, NO hot water, and the water supply even stopped when the cleaner is using the washing machine is the morning! If location is your priority, there are plenty of options nearby, which offer much better room with better service. All in all, it simply doesn't reflect the Malaysian's hospitality.
