Cuernavaca, the City of Eternal Spring, is located 89 km (55 mi) south of Mexico City, in the northern region of the state of Morelos. The city has a pleasant climate, with an average year-round temperature of 23o C (73o F).
This destination is an excellent place to relax, as each year it draws many tourists looking to escape from the stress of their workday routines. Others enjoy going to the swimming pools, which have excellent facilities. Or you can simply take a stroll through the city and marvel at the magnificent historic buildings, such as the Convento del la Asuncion (Convent of The Assumption), la Capilla de San Jose (San Jose Chapel) and the Palacio de Cortes (Palace of Cortez), the oldest viceregal civic construction, which houses Diego Rivera murals.
