Casa de Ambar is located in one of the oldest parts of Merida, only 2 blocks from Santiago Square, with a 17th century Church and a park which has an authentic old, Hispanic stone fountain. At the local marketplace you can grab a meal, purchase all your fresh fruits and vegetables and enjoy the live band music and dancing every Tuesday night. There is also and IKA supermarket, for all your daily needs, a Pharmacy and plenty of food vendors serving authentic Mayan cuisine. Within six blocks, or ten minutes walking distance, is Merida's Main Square (Plaza Grande) with its famous Cathedral, Municipal Palace and most of the museums, galleries, cinemas, fine restaurants, theaters, goods shopping, nightlife and yucatecan dances being performed every weekend.
