Dar Darek

Set at the heart of Essaouira's ancient medina, Dar Darek offers a true taste of Moroccan life. Just five minutes away from the beautiful beach, we are surrounded by typical grocery shops, a bakery and a hammam.

Our intimate riad has been totally renovated using traditional materials and techniques. Beijmats tiles, tadelakt walls and ornate fabrics provide classic Moroccan style with a hint of contemporary design. We have 4 charming and very confortable guest rooms as well as a quiet sunny roof terrace and a cosy lounge where you can enjoy a glass of mint tea or warm up in front of the fire during the colder season.

A tasty breakfast is included in the price, and we can also prepare evening meals (€10 per person). Our cuisine is a mix of typical Moroccan family cooking and classic French recipes which uses delicious combinations of seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Secure parking is available just 100 metres from Dar Darek, and we can also provide a pick-up service from the Supratours bus station (3 minutes away).

Dar Darek is located in the old médina with an easy access by Bab (Door) Marrakech, one of the main entrance in the médina wall. Just 5 minutes walking from the bus stop supratours. 3 minutes walking from a watched car park. 5 minutes walking from the beautiful beach.
