Experience the true spirit of Fez at Dar Sienna, a lovingly restored courtyard house tucked away at the heart of the bustling ancient medina. Brand new with a cosy and peaceful atmosphere we are ideal for the more adventurous and independent guests who wish to immerse themselves in Moroccan culture and tradition.

A tranquil haven awaits you in the three light and airy double bedrooms, all of which have large French windows overlooking the medina, an unusual feature in such a traditional style of house where the home was designed to be an intimate sanctuary away from the outside world.

The rooms also overlook our charming courtyard salon, furnished in a traditional Moroccan style. We have a large kitchen and three private roof terraces where guests can relax with a glass of Moroccan tea and enjoy unobstructed views out over the city's rooftops.

Our house was carefully restored by Fassi craftsmen, and boasts beautiful zellige mosaic floors, tadelakt bathrooms, exquisitely carved plasterwork and intricate cedarwood windows and doors.

Our location couldn't be better, next to Moulay Idriss Zawiya, Place Nejjarine and The Carpenters' Square, right in the midst of the main souks. There is a wonderful food market nearby selling fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and meat.

The ancient city of Fez was founded over 1,200 years ago. Wandering the myriad alleys, taking in the stunning architecture and fine craftsmanship of the palaces, mosques, fountains and madrasas and soaking up the unique atmosphere is like stepping back in time.

Home to the oldest university in the world, over 300 mosques and several Sufi Brotherhoods, Fez is considered to be the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco.

The medina of Fez is the largest car-free urban zone in the world and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
