Here at Namaste Lodge we offer five guestrooms all of which are equipped with linen, sofas an comfy chairs. As the property is carpeted throughout request no shoes upstairs.
Local facilities on the main arterial/residential Ormeau Road, include (within 100 metres) a Post Office, 2 banks, 3 coffee shops, French, Indian, Asian and International restaurants, the usual mix of take-aways, as well as the whole range of shops needed for general shopping, pharmacy, veg and fruit, gifts and mini-mart; specialized shopping is a little further afield: there is a mall one mile up the road. The winner of the Best Off-Licence in Northern Ireland (on more than one occasion) is on the corner of Rushfield Avenue, and stocks an excellent range of wines and beers. There are several pubs in the area with an ecletic mix of locals, music, pool tables, and pub grub: The Big House, (music, pool, sports) The Errigle, (music, quiz, 4 bars), and Jude's. There are a variety of churches of many denominations; facilities for other religions are a little further off; directions on request.
The city centre is approx £5 by taxi, or 20/25 minute walk. It is about 10 mins by bus from Belfast city centre and the bus stop is just round the corner, whilst drop off from town is at South Parade, directly opposite. The largest park in Belfast, Ormeau Park, is located 4 minutes walk away. Countryside starts within minutes in the opposite direction from the city centre. All the theatres are within 10 to 15 mins.
