Caís do Sodré Station is the only square in Lisbon where you can get any form of transport, apart from a plane, that is.The Caravels that used to leave here from India five centuries ago have been replaced by ferry boats ("cacilheiros") that will take you across to the other side of the river. Trains do not leave the country from here, as in Santo Apolónia, but they will take you to Cascais. There is a subway station right at the train station, and a great coming and going of trams ans buses.
