Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden is located in Caniço on the Island of Madeira.
The estate is set in 30.000 square meters of landscaped botanical gardens with over 1.000 species of different plants, tempting the guests to take a walk and relax.
The main building is a restored 19th century Manor House, rich in antiquities and paintings.
There are a total of 166 rooms, with five different accommodation types.
The accommodation is situated in spacious cottages around the gardens and the pool.
From the outdoor pool, you can enjoy fantastic views across the Atlantic to the nearby nature reserve Ilhas Desertas.

*Please note that children are only allowed in studios and apartments.
*Please note that children under 16 years of age are not allowed in the Spa suites and in the SPA
1-For the STUDIO SEA VIEW: Maximum occupancy 2 adults and 1 child from 0 - 2 years.
Children bteween 0 - 2 years are free in a cot. Cot bed needs to be reconfirmed by the hotel.
2-For the Apartment: Maximum occupancy 4. 2 children are allowed (2 adults + 2 children).
From 0 - 2 years free in a cot with reconfirmation of hotel. From 3 - 12 years old pay 50% of the adult rate or 25% of the room rate ( Discount wll be calculated at the hotel).
Car Park: € 2 per day subject to change.
Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden is ideally located in the centre of the Canico Village, a 10 minute drive from the airport and to the capital Funchal. the ferry to Porto Santo Island and the Monte "toboggan rides." Close to the hotel there are a post office, a large supermarket. In Caniço itself, at about 100 m distance, the guests find banks, shops and several restaurants as well a good public bus connection to Funchal and to the seaside. Nearby at the sea there is the Manta Diving Centre, also within short reach there are the two golf courses of Palheiro Ferreiro (18 hole, elegant) and Santo da Serra (27 hole, rougher, special prices and transport free of charge for the hotel's guests, as well as horseback riding facilities). Note that in 2004, 2006 and 2007, the hotel has hosted and sponsored several major golf events which gave the staff a great golfing experience, enabling it to offer superior quality golf services to the guests. Other potential activities include mountain/levada walking, hiking, mountain climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking, windsurfing, big game fishing, dolphin & whale watch.
