Glenallan Guest House offers a great accommodation option in an elegant Victorian House just one mile from the heart of Edinburgh. Our Victorian charm offers original character while we endeavour to still provide guests with all the modern comforts they require during their stay in Edinburgh.

Here at the Glenallan Guest House we offer a choice of 4 rooms for guests to choose from. Room options include a family room, 2 twin rooms and 1 double.

All guest rooms are equipped with a television and tea/coffee making facilities with hairdryers and ironing facilities available upon request. All guestrooms we offer are ensuite .

We serve a delicious cooked breakfast daily which guests can enjoy.

Other amenities at the property include our private garden and car park area. Airport transfers can also be arranged upon request. we are also happy to assist you in arranging day tour to the famous Loch Ness and Loch Lomond areas in the Scottish Highlands.

Glenallan Guest House is a non-smoking property.

Glenallan has a cancellation policy as follows:

50%of the balance will be charged, as deposit, by the guest house upon booking made and is partially refundable.. If booking is cancelled - upto 14 days before day of arrival then 10% of all days will be charged.

If less than 14 days before arrival, or you fail to show up for your stay - then the full price of the stay will be charged.

No refund is available for early departure, after initial check-in, in any circumstances.

All card payments will incurr a 4.9% surcharge.

No pets allowed

Please ring the guest house at least 1 hour before arrival , to ensure that staff is present to welcome you on your arrival at the guest house



Free pickup from rail or bus station when you arive into Edinburgh is available, only with prior arrangement, at least 24 hours before arrival .

Check-in is from 3pm to 9pm, and late arrivals will incur a £10 charge per room.

However, if guests are due into Edinburgh before 3pm, and with prior arrangement only, they are welcome to come in and leave their luggage.



A minimum stay of 4 nights inclusive dates:

29, 30, 31st dec 2011, 1 , 2, 3 rd jan 2012

A minimum stay of two nights, if arriving on a friday or saturday, with exception for special weekends (as below) when arrivals on a Friday will have a minimum of 3 nights.

These include:

29th April to 01 may 2011 -
3 ,4 and 5 th, feb 2012
25-27 feb 2012

A minimum stay of 2 nights for all days during the month of august., except for arrivals on a Friday, which has a min stay of 3 nights.


A minimum stay of five nights if arriving any day Sunday to Thursday inclusive, during September and October

Located Near

Situated approximately a mile from the heart of Edinburgh, Glenallan is an ideal base for exploring not only the historic and vibrant city centre but also the surrounding countryside and other attractions. Bus stop is just outside Glenallan and a 5 minute bus journey to city centre. buses run until 9pm. There is also a 24 hour bus route in the next street. Within walking distance to local amenities (shops, cafes, restaurants, local gift shops) An ATM is available just up the road
