Lantern Guest House is the perfect place for you to stay when visiting Edinburgh for shopping, rugby games, Edinburgh Castle, sightseeing, theatre or for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We offer a range of rooms to suit every need. Centrally located and affordable we are just 10 minutes from Waverly train station- the main train station for Edinburgh.
All guestrooms at the Lantern Guest House are ensuite and come equipped with a television and tea/coffee making facilities. Guests can choose from four double rooms. We also feature a sister property Windsor House (located at 23 Windsor St) where we offer two additional double rooms. Depending on availabilitiy a booking can be placed in either Lantern house or Windsor house.
Breakfast is not offered at the properties however a number of breakfast establishments can be found close by- includig the famous Valvona & Crolla and the Playfair in the Omnicenter.
On street car parking costs £1 an hour with a maximum stay of 4 hours- however at weekends and from 17.30-08.30 Monday to Friday parking is free. For those looking for off street parking a multi storey car park is available at the Omnicenter.

We require a 2 night minimum stay during Rugby international weekends and during Hogmanay & Christmas we require a 3 night minimum stay.
