Bookchon itself is a very well-known tourist attraction as the only living traditional village in Seoul. The village includes a famous romantic street - Samcheong-dong - as part of it. It is located between two main palaces - Gyeongbok-goong and Changdeok-goong - that are on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Another famous traditional street - Insa-dong - is only a 10-minute walk to the South and most-visited shopping area - Myeong-dong - is also close by.
