Located Near

The Midtown Central Park Suite is located on a great block right in the middle of midtown New York City, just several blocks from the world-famous Central Park and the Museum of Modern Art – one of New York’s most famous landmarks. The apartment is located between 1st and 2nd Avenue. The apartment is quiet and peaceful but there are plenty of things to do right in your neighbourhood. There are tons of different restaurants and bars around the apartment – Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese – are only several cuisines available within a 3 minute walk from the apartment. You will be amazed by how many New Yorkers love to sit at the tables outside these restaurants after a day at work. Staying in this apartment will give you a truly New York experience. You will also be close to Columbus Circle and just a block away from the famous Bloomingdale’s department store. Times Square is just a 15 minute walk away (or two subway stops away), the Empire State building is a 20 minute walk away (or 3 subway stops). On amazing 2nd Avenue one can find anything and everything, you don’t have to go too far for anything if you don’t want to. Not only are there numerous restaurants and bars, some names of which are “Moonstruck Diner”, “Taksin Restaurant”, “Sushi Express” (one of the best Indian restaurants in the city), “Daniello’s Restaurant”, “Energy Kitchen Health Food”; you also have other little shops that will make your stay extremely comfortable, for example “Cellular Circle” where you can purchase a pay-as-you-go Sim-card if you want to use your phone during your stay in the US and not pay for the roaming. There is also safe and secure parking on 2nd Avenue between 57th and 58th Streets for $26 per day which is not expensive for New York. If you are looking to try a new cuisine you might want to check out of these restaurants: ”Taksin” Turkish Restaurant (55th Street and 2nd Avenue), “Al Bustan” Lebanese restaurant (53rd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues), “Barros Luca” Chilean cuisine (52nd Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues), or “Gulluoglu” If you are looking for the best breakfast place one of those will be the “Brasserie” or “Europa Cafe” on 53rd Street between Park and Lexington Avenues or “Pret-a-Manger” on the corner of 54th Street and Lexington Avenue as well as “Lenny’s” on 54th Street and 2nd Avenue. If you like smoothies, the best place in New York is definitely “Jamba Juice” situated on Lexington Avenue between 52nd and 53rd Streets, they make the smoothie in front of you with the freshest fruit, and you can add a boost (like immunity or energy supplement) or a wheatgrass shot to it to make it even healthier! On the corner of 58th Street and 2nd Avenue one can find a Duane Reade pharmacy (a store from the biggest pharmacy chain in the city of New York) where you can buy pretty much anything that you might need (including food). All the pharmacies in the US sell a lot of different foods, cosmetics, household supplies. Usually pharmacies are like miniature supermarkets with a prescription counter. You have several banks around the apartment, so you can withdraw or exchange the money in any of them: Capitol One and Bank of America on 59th Street between and 3rd Avenue, Wachowia Bank on the corner of 59th Street and Lexington Avenue and Citibank on the corner of 57th Street and 1st Avenue. If you like to cook your food, you will love this location – it has several supermarkets right in the immediate area (which is a luxury for New York): “Food Emporium” on 1st Avenue and 59th Street, “D’Agostino” on 1st Avenue between 56th and 57th Avenues. You also have several amazing New York style, small, specialized stores on 1st Avenue between 52nd and 51st Streets, like “Ideal Cheese Shop” which has a variety of cheeses, olive oils, pastas, cured meats and breads; and a fresh seafood store right next door. There is an inexpensive laundromat on 2nd Avenue between 55th and 56th Streets and another one on another corner of 56th Street and 2nd Avenue. And if you like to exercise during your vacation or business trip, you can use 24 Hour Fitness on 53rd Street between Lexington and 3rd Avenues. The Port Authority bus terminal is about 20 minutes by foot from the apartment – you can catch a bus from the airport right there at any time. You will probably prefer to catch one of New York’s inexpensive yellow cabs from the bus terminal to the apartment if you have a lot of bags. The ride should cost you about $5-10 depending on traffic. So basically, you do not need a metro card when staying at this location – just walk, enjoy the weather, views and shopping. The apartment is conveniently located by several different subway lines – N, R, W, 4, 5, 6, E, V, 6 – all going to different places in the city, so you will have the easiest commute from there to anywhere! You can enter the subway at 60th Street and Lexington Avenue (for N, R, W trains), at 59th Street and Lexington (for 4, 5, 6 trains going along the East Side), and at 53rd Street and 3rd Avenue (for E, V, 6 trains). The entrance to subway on 53rd Street is one of the most beautiful ones in the city – it even has a waterfall!
